SABIC, OQ and Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI) have agreed to jointly develop a petrochemical complex in Duqm, Oman, reviving a project that stalled in late 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
German distribution group Oqema has acquired Alpkem, a Slovenia-based firm with its main offices in Kranj. Oqema said the deal strengthens its inorganic product line and circular economy business, as well as its infrastructure in southeast Europe. Financial terms were not disclosed.
German chemical distributor Oqema has bought Spain’s Tecnufar Iberia, strengthening its presence in the region’s food ingredients and additives market. Tecnufar, which has about 20 employees, is headquartered in Madrid, where it also operates a warehouse along with two others in Barcelona and Valencia.
Oqema, a Germany-based distributor of commodity and specialty chemicals, has acquired Spain’s Proquibasa. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
