Azelis has agreed to buy Gillco Ingredients, a leading US distributor of specialty ingredients for the food & nutrition market. Headquartered in San Marcos, California, Gillco has 40 employees, supplying nearly 1,000 customers.

Azelis Expands in Brazil with Vogler Buy

Azelis has agreed to acquire the majority shares of Brazilian specialty distributor Vogler Ingredients. Vogler is active in the food & nutrition and animal nutrition markets and employs 130 people servicing 2,300 customers, including many of the region’s largest food and animal feed producers.

US specialty materials manufacturer Aceto and 10 other companies with business operations in North America, Europe, India and China have merged into a new cross-industry player called Actylis, under the umbrella of private equity investor New Mountain Capital.

Arxada Expands at Visp to Continue Supplying DSM

Swiss specialty chemicals company Arxada said it will invest 20 million Swiss francs to expand production at its Visp site following the extension of a long-term supply partnership with DSM.

BASF Expands Enzymes Output

BASF has expanded its feed enzymes capacity at Ludwigshafen, Germany, to meet growing global demand for its Natuphos E, Nutugrain TS and Natupulse TS products. The German group said feed enzymes have become indispensable for improving efficiency and sustainability in animal protein production.
