German distribution giant Brenntag announced the acquisition of Lawrence Industries, an independent specialties distributor in the UK. The transaction, Brenntag said, further strengthens the company’s position within Material Science and across the coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers (CASE), construction, polymer and rubber industries. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Brenntag announced the agreement to acquire a chemical logistics site of Chimica D’Agostino in Italy. The site is located in the industrial area of the city of Bari, well connected with Adriatic highway, and with easy access to harbours on the seaside.
German chemicals and ingredients distributor Brenntag has opened its new facility in Maurice, Louisiana, USA. The chemical distribution business is a diverse industry that provides customized solutions for important sectors such as pharmaceuticals, paints & coatings, agriculture, cosmetics, food & feed, and automotive. At the center of the supply chains of these sectors, distributors are critical partners for global corporations as well as for SMEs. This role has become particularly obvious and relevant during the corona crisis.
