
BASF to Acquire Shares in Alsachimie
BASF and DOMO Chemicals have signed an agreement giving BASF the right to acquire DOMO Chemicals' 49% stake in the Alsachimie joint venture, in which BASF currently holds 51%.

Leuna, Germany-based PA producer Domo Chemicals is teaming up with low-carbon hydrogen producer Hynamics, a wholly owned subsidiary of French energy group EDF, to produce sustainable polyamides from hydrogen, using output from the Belle-Étoile industrial site in Saint-Fons, France.
German polyamide specialist Domo Chemicals said it plans to significantly increase its PA 6 compounding capacity in China up to the end of 2023. As this is the fastest growing market for polyamides globally, the company based at Leuna said the expansion will help local manufacturers keep pace with emerging trends and create “innovative, high-performance and sustainable products and applications.”
