VYNOVA Names Management Staff

The newly founded Vynova group incorporating the PVC assets carved out of Ineos and Solvay to gain EU approval for their new joint venture Inovyn will be managed by an executive team led by Stefan Sommer as president. Luc Leunis, Peter Prinz and Johan van Den Broeck have been named executive vice presidents and Hans Mattheeuws and Gerold Jelschen as senior vice presidents.

Stefan Sommer began his chemical industry career as product manager for specialty chemicals at the former Hoechst and later held senior executive positions as associate partner at consultant Arthur D. Little, President of the Celanese engineering plastics subsidiary Ticona, president of DSM China and CEO of ASK Chemicals.

Luc Leunis started his career with Monsanto, where he held positions in operations management and engineering. Later he joined Belgian group Tessenderlo as director of operations for the chemicals business and subsequently served as managing director of Ineos ChlorVinyls in Belgium.

Peter Prinz held several management positions in operations at the former EC Erdölchemie in Dormagen, Germany, which later became BP and Ineos. Most recently, he was managing director for Ineos ChlorVinyls in Germany.

Johan Van Den Broeck worked with former Bayer subsidiary Agfa, as well as Dow Chemical and Deloitte, where he held leadership positions in IT, supply chain and purchasing. At Tessenderlo he was director supply chain and purchasing and later head of Business at the Ineos ChlorVinyls LVM group.

Hans Mattheeuws held several leading positions in finance in major companies such as Campina and Tessenderlo. He joined LVM upon its acquisition by Ineos and is now acting as CFO and

Gerold Jelschen held various senior management positions at ICI and EVC with a focus on finance and other commercial functions before becoming CFO of Ineos ChlorVinyls in Germany.
