Shell Declares FM at Singapore Complex

Oil and petrochemicals giant Shell declared force majeure on production of base chemical products from its Bukom plant on Singapore’s Jurong Island on Dec. 1, citing a technical problem at the site’s ethylene cracker.

Shell said it was seeking to resume normal operations and supply as soon as possible, so as to minimize the potential impact on its customers.
