When Every Temperature Change Determines the Process
Precise reactor temperature control with the new Vigoro 7500 –
energy-efficient, dynamic and sustainable.

Whether in the laboratory, technical center, or at pilot scale, precise temperature control is crucial to the success of chemical processes. Even minor deviations can affect reaction rate, selectivity, and product yield. Particularly in exothermic and endothermic reactions, excess heat must be removed quickly or heat must be supplied in a controlled manner. Powerful recirculating coolers play a key role here: they keep the temperature in the reactor constant and create the conditions for reproducible results. With the Vigoro 5000, Vigoro 7500, and Vigoro 10000, Julabo presents a new generation of recirculating coolers developed specifically for demanding external temperature control applications. The Vigoro 7500 demonstrates how modern cooling technology combines precision, sustainability, and ease of use.
In double-jacketed reactors, the temperature control medium circulates continuously through the reactor jacket, immediately compensating for temperature fluctuations. Cooling capacity alone is not the decisive factor. Only the optimal interaction of cooling, heating, pump technology, and control ensures that changes in load are compensated for quickly and in a controlled manner. Powerful recirculating coolers play a central role by reliably dissipating excess heat and ensuring stable process conditions.
With a cooling capacity of around 7 kW at 20 °C, the air-cooled Vigoro 7500 provides ample performance reserves for a wide range of reactor applications. The standard working temperature range extends from −30 to +40 °C and can be expanded to +120 °C with the optional heating function. This makes the system equally suitable for cooling and heating processes in chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and industrial research.
The circulation pump is just as important as the cooling capacity itself. It must provide a high flow rate while remaining within the reactor's permissible operating pressure. The Vigoro 7500 features high-flow pumps. Frequency-controlled pumps are optionally available, enabling precise pressure control and targeted adaptation to different reactor systems. This ensures reliable temperature control for both sensitive glass reactors and robust steel reactors.

Chemical processes rarely take place under constant conditions. The addition of raw materials, phase changes, or varying reaction heat continuously alter energy requirements. The VIGORO series is designed for highly dynamic performance under such changing loads. Powerful cooling and heating systems enable fast heat-up and cool-down times as well as temperature stability of ±0.1 °C – even under changing loads. Optionally, temperature control can be performed directly at the application using an external Pt100 sensor, allowing the control system to be precisely matched to the actual product temperature.
Alongside precision, energy efficiency is becoming increasingly important. Vigoro recirculating coolers use natural refrigerants and frequency-controlled components that automatically adapt their performance to the actual cooling demand. This reduces power consumption, lowers operating costs, and supports sustainable system operation. At the same time, the modular option concept makes it easy to adapt the system to a wide range of applications. Analog and digital interfaces, together with the large 7-inch touch display, enable convenient operation and straightforward integration into modern laboratory and process control systems.
The Vigoro 7500 combines high cooling capacity and dynamic temperature control with energy-efficient refrigeration technology. This makes it suitable for demanding reactor temperature control applications and supports stable, reproducible processes in laboratories, research, and industry.
