Nouryon Launches Innovation Center for Oilfield Solutions in US

The Innovation Center will focus on research and development for sustainable drilling and completion, production, and stimulation processes, and will also serve as a platform for workshops and training sessions.

"At Nouryon, our global network of Innovation Centers is dedicated to supporting customer collaboration and creating more innovative, safer, and sustainable products and processes," said Johan Landfors, Chief Technology Officer at Nouryon. "Our chemistry experts are committed to addressing challenges in the oilfield market and delivering solutions that enhance our customers’ performance and sustainability targets.” 

This is Nouryon's first Innovation Center in Houston, marking a significant expansion of the Company's capabilities and presence in the oilfield market. It is expected to be fully operational in July and features state-of-the-art testing facilities and capabilities in demulsification, corrosion and scale inhibition, as well as stimulation, ensuring alignment with the latest standards and customer expectations.

"This investment enhances our ability to collaborate closely with our customers and partners, while also supporting the development of innovative solutions tailored for the unique challenges of the oilfield industry in the region. Nouryon launched its Integrated Services Office in Houston in 2020. The Company also manages four manufacturing sites in Fort Worth, Pasadena, La Porte, and Houston in Texas. Globally, Nouryon operates 14 Innovation Centers that foster collaboration and innovation with regional customers through interactive, hands-on experiences. Beyond Houston, Nouryon also operates Innovation Centers for oilfield applications in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Stenungsund, Sweden.
