Eastman Completes BP Turbine Oil Acquisition

Eastman has completed the acquisition of BP's global aviation turbine oil business for an undisclosed sum.

The new activities will be integrated into the US chemical group's Fluids & Intermediates business segment, which markets hydraulic fluids under the name Skydron.

"This acquisition brings a profitable and growing specialty chemicals business to our portfolio that aligns very well with our existing aviation product offerings", said Mike Humby, vice president and general manager of the Eastman business segment.
