10 Years of European Chemistry Partnering

The European Chemistry Partnering (ECP) is celebrating its 10th anniversary and is holding the anniversary edition on February 4, 2026 at the Dechema House in Frankfurt am Main.

Under the title "10th ECP - in cooperation with Dechema", the established partnering format with its pre-scheduled 20-minute one-to-one meetings will take place for the first time in close cooperation between European Chemistry Partnering and Dechema, the German Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology. The aim of the partnership is to further expand the reach, visibility and technical depth of the ECP and to network the chemical, biotechnological and process engineering community even more closely. ECP and Dechema are combining their respective strengths: international networking and structured cooperation on the one hand, scientific and technical excellence and industry expertise on the other.

One of the highlights of the 10th European Chemistry Partnering will be the keynote speech by Tim Böltken, founder and CEO of Ineratec. He will show how industries that are difficult to defossilize can already be transformed in a climate-friendly way with the help of renewable electricity, hydrogen and CO₂. The focus will be on Ineratec's modular Power-to-X technology and its scaling - right up to the operation of what is currently Europe's largest power-to-liquid plant in Frankfurt. The anniversary keynote will combine technology, entrepreneurship and vision and show how the future of sustainable chemistry can be actively shaped.

Another key element of the anniversary edition is the return of the Inversed Pitches, which will be firmly anchored in the program again after the pandemic. In this format, large companies present their specific technological challenges, search fields and cooperation interests. The Inversed Pitch donors confirmed so far include: Borealis, GEA, Johnson Matthey, Röhm, Samson and Thyssenkrupp Uhde. The focus is particularly on cooperation with start-ups and innovative technology providers.

"The European Chemistry Partnering is not a classic congress, but a highly focused dialog and cooperation format," says Holger Bengs, initiator of the ECP and Managing Director of BCNP Consultants. "Especially in times of far-reaching transformation, companies need platforms where they can talk to each other quickly, openly and at eye level - and where these discussions can lead to concrete partnerships."

Decision-makers from international corporations, SMEs, innovative start-ups, investors, banks, specialist consulting firms and network multipliers such as clusters and industry associations are expected to attend the anniversary edition. The program will be complemented by start-up pitches, an accompanying exhibition and a variety of opportunities for informal, interdisciplinary exchange.

Also on the agenda of the one-day event is the award ceremony for the three winning start-ups of the CHEManager Innovation Pitch Year 2025.
