Kazakh fertilizer producer Kazazot has chosen Spanish contractor Tecnicas Reunidas to build a new complex in Aktau, Mangistau Oblast, in the southwest of the country.

Tecnicas Reunidas Wins Ineos Cracker Project
Spain’s Tecnicas Reunidas has won a contract for Ineos’ ethylene cracker project in Antwerp, Belgium. The scope of work includes project management, engineering, procurement and construction management and supervision services. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
Tecnicas Reunidas Wins Turkish PTA Contract
Spanish engineering contractor Tecnicas Reunidas has signed a contract with Turkey’s Sasa Polyester to build a PTA plant. Located at Adana, Turkey, the plant will have a capacity of 1.5 million t/y. The value of the contract was not disclosed, although the total cost of the project is estimated by Sasa at $935 million.
