Topsoe Wins China Green Ammonia Project

Topsoe has been chosen by Beijing-based Mintal Hydrogen to provide its proprietary technology for a green ammonia plant in China. The 390,000 t/y plant, located in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, will be the first of its type in China, as well as Topsoe’s first power-to-X project in the country.

Topsoe and Dow Partner on Chemical Recycling

Haldor Topsoe is partnering Dow to accelerate development of chemical recycling technology that converts hard-to-recycle waste plastics into pyrolysis oil feedstock. The Danish group will support the design and engineering of a 10,000 t/y market-development, or pilot, unit to be built at Dow’s site in Terneuzen, the Netherlands.

Topsoe and Sasol Expand G2L Partnership

Haldor Topsoe and Sasol have expanded their gas-to-liquids (G2L) collaboration to jointly license and develop their technologies for sustainable liquid fuels and chemicals production through Fischer-Tropsch (FT) technology. The companies originally entered into a partnership to jointly license their GTL technologies in December 2019, but have worked together for more than 20 years.

Topsoe Establishes Dedicated Green Hydrogen Arm

Denmark’s Haldor Topsoe has set up a dedicated green hydrogen arm with the aim of accelerating its electrolysis business. The newly formed organization will leverage Topsoe’s knowhow and expertise in solid oxide electrolysis, which it said produces up to 30% more green hydrogen from the same amount of renewable power than standard technologies.
