WeylChem Starts Direct Sales of Allantoin

Allantoin, an essential ingredient for personal care applications, is manufactured at WeylChem Lamotte, part of WeylChem since 2014. WeylChem Lamotte has long-term experience regarding the synthetic production process for Allantoin and sold the product previously through a third party. With the beginning of January 2017 WeylChem Wiesbaden, part of the group's Consumer Care business, will sell this product directly into the personal care market.

Allantoin has a skin soothing and moisturizing effect, increases the smoothness of skin and promotes cell proliferation and wound healing. Based on these benefits the product is used in a wide range of personal care applications such as body and skin care, sun care, hair care and cosmetics.

„The start of direct sales of Allantoin is an important step in our development and is supported by our strategy to develop application driven solutions for our Personal Care, Home Care and Industrial customers“, says Andreas Maier, Managing Director of WeylChem Wiesbaden.
