Bayer has appointed Wolfgang Nickl to its managing board with effect from Apr. 26, 2018. The 48-year-old manager, who is new to the Leverkusen, Germany-based group, will succeed Johannes Dietsch as chief financial officer (CFO) from Jun. 1, 2018.

Dietsch will leave Bayer at his own request at the end of May 2018, the group said.

Nickl, a German national, has served as CFO of several companies in the US and the Netherlands. At present, he is executive vice president and CFO at ASML, a Veldhoven, Netherlands-based supplier of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry.
