Safic-Alcan Acquire Ingredients Plus, Strengthening APAC Position

Safic-Alcan, a distributor of specialty chemicals, announces the acquisition of Ingredients Plus, a specialty chemicals distributor with a strong historical presence in the personal care sector in Malaysia and Singapore.

Created in 2007 and 2010, respectively, the Malaysian and Singaporean entities were established by Graeme Love and Chai Sien Theng. Headquartered in Shah Alam, Selangor, the company promotes ingredients for personal and home care, as well as coatings, rubber latex and industrial applications, food and flavor & fragrance.

"Following our expansion into India about 6 months ago, it shows our commitment to further investing in the region. While Safic-Alcan has had a modest presence in Malaysia since 2012, joining forces with Ingredients Plus will create an even stronger platform to capture future growth in the region," commented Yann Lissillour, CEO of the Safic-Alcan Group.
