Pilot Chemical Buys Fuel Additives Company

US specialty chemical company Pilot Chemical has acquired fuel additives manufacturer Liquid Minerals for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition, which was completed on Jun. 30 2016, expands Pilot’s presence into the organometallic fuel additives markets, as well as providing further growth opportunities for its existing surfactants and antimicrobial businesses.

Liquid Minerals, based in New Waverly, Texas, USA, manufactures products for the oilfield, refinery, power generation and marine industries. It will retain its name under Pilot’s management.
