PharmaBlock Inaugurates its New OPC R&D Center in Nanjing, China
PharmaBlock Sciences officially inaugurated its new OPC (Oligonucleotides, Peptides, and Conjugates) R&D Center in Nanjing, China.
PharmaBlock Sciences officially inaugurated its new OPC (Oligonucleotides, Peptides and Conjugates) R&D Center in Nanjing's Jiangbei New Area adjacent to the company's global headquarters.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Minmin Yang, Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PharmaBlock, together with members of the OPC leadership team and selected guests. Spanning 7,000 square meters, the new facility represents an important milestone in strengthening PharmaBlock's capabilities in the TIDES and XDC (ADC/PDC/RDC/AOC) modalities.
The new center expands the R&D capacity of PharmaBlock's OPC business, whilst significantly advancing the company's development and delivery capabilities across the peptide, oligonucleotide and drug conjugate modalities.

PharmaBlock's OPC R&D Center features state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment for peptide synthesis — including solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), liquid-phase peptide synthesis (LPPS), continuous-flow liquid-phase peptide synthesis (CF-LPPS) and enzyme-assisted peptide synthesis (EAPS) — as well as a lyophilization platform. It also includes an OEB-5 laboratory supporting lab-scale R&D of HPAPIs, ADC payloads and linkers. For oligonucleotides, the center offers synthesis and development services, along with modified monomers, linkers, ligands and conjugates. Backed by a specialized scientific team and well-established platform capabilities, the center supports customer programs from early-stage molecular design through to preclinical candidate nomination.
“Our new OPC R&D Center is a strategically important investment in PharmaBlock's future,” said Minmin Yang. “It marks an important step as we continue to build our capabilities and better serve our partners in the TIDES and XDC fields.”
