Nexeo Buys Italy’s Nevicolor

US-based thermoplastics distributor Nexeo Plastics has acquired Italy’s Nevicolor for an undisclosed sum.

Based in Luzzara, Nevicolor is a leading thermoplastic distributor and compounder serving a variety of customers in the industrial components, healthcare, automotive, advanced packaging, agriculture and electrical markets.

"This strategic acquisition increases GPD’s scale and affords Nexeo Plastics access to Nevicolor’s highly technical and analytical specialization,” said Paul Tayler, CEO of GPD, Nexeo’s owner.

Joost d’Hooghe, vice president of Europe, Middle East & Africa at Nexeo Plastics, added: “Our customers in Europe will now have access to a robust offering of tailor-made compounds, specialty polymers, lab services and recycled material.”

GPD is a group of global distributors formed by private equity group One Rock Capital Partner, which bought Nexeo Plastics in March 2019. At the same time, Nexeo Plastics’ parent Nexeo Solutions became part of US-based multinational distribution group Univar.
