Mitsubishi Chemical to Acquire US Chemicals and Materials Manufacturer Gelest
Tokyo, Japan-based Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC), through its US subsidiary acquires US chemicals and materials group Gelest from New Mountain Capital.
Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation’s US subsidiary and Gelest entered into a partnership in 2017
Completion of the transaction is expected in 2020, pending customary regulatory review and approval.
Gelest, headquartered in Morrisville, PA, USA, was founded in 1991 and is a manufacturer and supplier of silicones, organosilanes, organometallic materials and specialty monomers for high-tech applications including medical technology and life sciences, microelectronics and personal care.
