Logistics as a sales pitch in the chemical industry
Study shows how innovative supply chain solutions can become a success factor and competitive edge.

Product and Service in balance: Study shows how innovative supply chain solutions can become a success factor and competitive edge
The study discusses how logistics excellence combined with innovative technologies is becoming an important sales pitch in the chemical industry – rather than just a supporting or supplementary function. In the future, chemical companies will no longer compete solely on product specifications or prices. Instead, supply chain competencies and resilience will become a key value proposition, creating the potential for a true competitive edge. Innovations such as AI and digital twins further enhance this opportunity.
The study highlights current challenges of the chemical industry and its supply chains, presents future-oriented services, and evaluates their suitability based on industry needs. Practical recommendations on how chemical companies can use products and services in combination as a sales pitch conclude the study.
The conduct of the study was supported by Dachser Chem Logistics.
