Plans for a joint venture between German gases and engineering group Linde and Russian power plant equipment manufacturer PJSC Power Machines have cleared the European Commission.

The newly established joint company, Linde Power Machines, will engineer, produce and distribute stainless steel heat exchange equipment for natural gas liquefaction units as well as providing related services and spare parts to power plants.

As the joint venture will operate primarily in Russia, the EU said the proposed deal would not raise competition concerns or change the competitive landscape in the European Economic Area (EEA).

PJSC Power Machines is a manufacturer of power generation equipment, in particular turbines and generators.
