James Grant Appointed Technical Screening Chemist for AkzoNobel Global Personal Care

The Global Personal Care business of AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry is pleased to announce the appointment of James Grant as Technical Screening Chemist, based in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

His responsibilities include technical screening of new product formulations and applications using existing AkzoNobel products. Technical screening includes product formulation, stability testing, test method development, global cross-functional collaboration, and product innovation.

Mr. Grant reports to Mojahedul Islam, Formulations Surface Scientist.

Mr. Grant brings a strong background in organic synthesis chemistry, with experience in personal care formulations, raw materials, quality control, and product scale-up.

Previously, he worked for two years as a Raw Materials Scientist at Johnson & Johnson in Skillman, N.J. He began his scientific career in the personal care industry at Colgate-Palmolive.

Mr. Grant is a graduate of Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.
