IMCD Expands in Southeast Asia with Thai Plastics Distributor Acquisition
IMCD is acquiring Merit Solution, a Thai distributor of plastic additives, to strengthen its position in the plastics and compounding market in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
IMCD, a global leading partner for the distribution and formulation of speciality chemicals and ingredients, recently announced it has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Merit Solution, a distributor of additives serving the plastics and compounding industry in Thailand.
Merit Solution serves a diverse range of applications, including plastics, construction, and adhesives. Merit Solution will bring in an established team of 24 employees and operate from its offices and laboratory in Bangkok. The company generated revenues of approximately THB 406 million (~€10.7 million) in 2025.

With a broader product range and a strengthened local presence, we are now better equipped to support our customers in enhancing product performance, processing efficiency and durability, and offering more sustainable solutions.”
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026.
