IMCD Announces Strategic Distribution Co-operation with Dow Microbial Control

Dow Microbial Control, a business group of The Dow Chemical Company, and IMCD have closed a strategic partnership in which IMCD will distribute Dow Microbial Control products in Benelux, France, Scandinavia, the UK and Ireland. The deal is effective immediately.

This is an extension of an agreement between Dow Chemicals and IMCD that currently covers coatings for Benelux, France and Scandinavia. The deal opens up a variety of new markets for IMCD, including household, personal care and lubricants.

The Dow Microbial Control partnership complements IMCD's existing portfolio, as Dow's products increase the quality of end applications and help them enhance product stability, which is highly important for current developments on the market.

Mark Vring, IMCD's strategic account manager for Dow, sees this as a further recognition of IMCD's market renowned technical expertise. "We were chosen not only for our technical expertise but also for our strategic plans in the affected markets," says Mr. Vring. "It is IMCD's strategy to always look for added value to our customers and we believe to have achieved that by this contract extension," concludes Mr. Vring.
