Givaudan Hikes Encapsulation Technologies Capacity in Mexico

In a move to increase its competitive advantage in Latin America, Swiss flavors, fragrances and active cosmetic ingredients manufacturer Givaudan has inaugurated its newly expanded production facility at the Pedro Escobedo site in Mexico, enhancing the company’s encapsulation technologies.

Maurizio Volpi, president of Givaudan’s Fragrance & Beauty business, commented: “This expansion is a pivotal step in our fragrance and beauty strategy. It has successfully doubled our production capacity, which now represents 40% of Givaudan's global capacity in this sector. This strategic growth not only reflects our engagement to meet the increasing demands of our customers but also positions us as a leader in this market.”

”Following the investments in Singapore in 2022, this next step in Mexico is another milestone in our development of encapsulation technologies. Furthermore, Pedro Escobedo’s facility and equipment have been designed to reinforce our dedication to operational excellence and ensure that we maintain the highest quality and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, in our production processes,” added Andrew Stedman, head of operations, Fragrance & Beauty at Givaudan.
