German Chemicals Sector Union Wants 7 Percent Pay Hike

German trade union IG BCE (mining, chemistry, energy) on Friday demanded a 7% pay hike over 12 months for some 550,000 workers in the chemicals sector.

Negotiations for the sector begin next week, the union said in a statement.
