Gazprom Confirms Nord Stream Timetable

The construction of Russia's Nord Stream gas pipeline to Germany is progressing according to plan,
Gazprom's spokesman said.

"There are no changes to the Nord Stream timetable. Everything is going according to plan," Sergei Kupriyanov told Reuters.

Russian Gas Society President Valery Yazev said earlier on Monday the second phase of the pipeline -- a project involving Gazprom, Germany's BASF E.ON as well as Dutch firm Gasunie - was suspended.
