DSM Announces Management Changes

Royal DSM has announced the following management changes:

Ben van Kooten, at present business group director DSM Resins, will retire after a long and successful career at DSM of more than 35 years.

He will be succeeded by Dimitri de Vreeze, at present business unit director DSM NeoResins+. In this role he will report to Nico Gerardu, member of the DSM managing board. de Vreeze will work together with Ben van Kooten through a transition period and will assume responsibility for DSM Resins at the beginning of Q4 2010.

Steve Hartig, at present president DSM Biomedical, will succeed de Vreeze as business unit director DSM NeoResins+. In this role he will report to de Vreeze. As announced earlier, Hartig will be succeeded as president DSM Biomedical by Christophe Dardel as per May 15.
