Dow Corning and Scapa Group to Expand Adhesive Solutions in Medical Device Market

Dow Corning and the Scapa Group have announced they will work together to expand adhesive solutions for medical applications.

The two companies said they will combine their extensive knowledge of the medical device market to provide consumer-focused, turnkey solutions and accelerate the commercialization of new adhesive products.

Compared to traditional medical adhesives, silicon-based products offer patients a comfortable, skin-friendly alternative in wound care, medical device, ostomy and surgical applications. For example, silicone wound dressings help facilitate faster healing and reduce patient discomfort.
