Chemlink Specialities and Addi-Tec Form Harke UK

Germany-headquartered chemical distributor Harke Group announced that its subsidiaries Chemlink Specialities and Addi-Tec have merged and rebranded as Harke UK, effective Feb.1, 2024.

Under the new brand, both companies will maintain their individual business units while expanding into new sectors, Harke said. There will be six business units within Harke UK: Chemlink, covering personal care and HI&I; Addi-Tec, covering coatings, plastics and polymer ingredients and additives; Pharma, covering pharmaceuticals; Nutra, covering nutraceuticals; Food, covering food ingredients; and Basechem, covering base chemicals and agrochemicals.

Within each of these business units, the new entity will offer distribution, formulation, reformulation, regulatory advice, micro testing, product sourcing, excellent customer service and marketing support.

According to Harke, this strategic move aims to fulfill the diverse needs of customers throughout the UK, Ireland and across Europe by expanding the range of products and services offered.

Thorsten Harke, president of Harke Group, commented: “This move will unite our team, open up the company to new divisions, and enhance the presence of Harke Group within the UK, Ireland and across Europe.”
