Brenntag Specialties Opens New Innovation & Application Center for Food & Nutrition in UK
The Leeds Innovation & Application Center is the newest of the now 71 Brenntag Specialties innovation centers globally, 31 of which focus on Food & Nutrition.
Brenntag, a global chemicals and ingredients distributor, has recently begun operations at its new Innovation & Application Center in Leeds, UK.
The facility will focus on research and development for Food & Nutrition applications and provide services for customer projects related to ingredient selection, formulation guidance, and applications. Dedicated Brenntag experts will serve customers and suppliers with concepts and prototype development, customized formulation support, technical solutions, and stability studies for a broad range of applications.

The new Center is a great addition to the strong network of now already 31 Food & Nutrition Innovation & Application Centers globally and 13 in the EMEA region,” said Jerzy Jasinski, Global President Nutrition and President Brenntag Specialties EMEA.
Product focus will be especially on Bakery, Dairy, Meat and Plant-based products, Ready Meals, Sauces and dips, as well as Beverages and Nutrition for customers from Food industry manufacturers across the UK and Ireland.
The new Innovation & Application Center for Food & Nutrition is located in the Lawnswood House of Lawnswood Business Park in North Leeds. The business park already hosts the headquarters of Brenntag in the UK as well, and the new Center was opened next door to the existing Center for Personal Care. Brenntag chose Leeds for both the Innovation & Application Center due to its proximity to the existing businesses and many suppliers as well as customers in the region.
The Innovation & Application Center in Leeds is the latest member of Brenntag Specialties’ global network of 71 industry-focused Centers that share best practices, knowledge, and insights and deliver value-added services to its business partners.
