Borouge International Appoints Roland Janssen as Chief Commercial Officer
Borouge International has appointed Roland Janssen as Chief Commercial Officer, effective October 1, 2026. Janssen will be based at Borouge International’s headquarters in Vienna.
Janssen succeeds Stefan Doboczky, who has decided to leave the company to become CEO of the Portuguese pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) Hovione, where he currently serves as chairman of the supervisory board.
Janssen has more than 25 years of global experience in sales and marketing, as well as within the industry, and is an accomplished executive at Borouge International, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing. Before assuming this new role, he held senior leadership positions at both Borealis and Borouge, where he demonstrated an impressive track record—from strengthening customer partnerships and driving business growth, to expanding the global market presence of both companies.
In his new role, Janssen will be responsible for leading Borouge International’s global sales and marketing organization, managing and expanding our customer relationships, and driving the company’s commercial priorities in our key markets.
Borouge International is a leading supplier of polyolefins. The company was formed in 2026 through the merger of Borealis, Borouge, and Nova Chemicals.
