BG Makes Oil Find Off Norway

BG has made an oil discovery in the North Sea, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) said on Thursday. The find was located some 25 km northeast of the Snorre field, said the NPD. It did not give the prospective size of the discovery. The license for the well is shared between operator BG, with a 45% share, BASF unit Wintershall and Petoro, which have 20% respectively, and Premier Oil, which has 15%.
