BASF to Lift Force Majeure for EO

BASF said it will lift its force majeure (FM) on Jul. 10 for ethylene oxide (EO)-based products produced in Europe in the portfolio of Home Care and Industrial & Institutional Cleaning, Formulation Technologies, AgChem Additives as well as certain EO-based products in the portfolio of Personal Care.
The world’s largest chemical group declared force majeure for the EO products on May 19 after earlier declaring FM for ethylene oxide. BASF said it will lift the EO force majeure on Jul. 1 and with the lengthening supply will have sufficient output of the care products starting material.
