BASF Awards Distribution Contract to Mexico’s Pochteca

BASF has signed an exclusive agreement with Mexican chemicals distributor, Pochteca, covering Mexico and Central America. Pochteca will distribute BASF’s water-treatment products, Zetag, Magnaflok LT, Burst, Magnasol and Antiprex. The products are used in multiple applications including drinking and wastewater treatment, industrial process water treatment and environmental remediation.

The Mexican company has 44 distribution centers, 34 of which are in Mexico, three in Central America and seven in Brazil. It handles more than 5,500 products serving more than 40 market sectors. Carlos Cepeda, Pocheta’s director of food, environmental, agro and specialties, said the company’s customers will greatly benefit from the company’s network, ability to maintain inventories tailored to their needs and technical expertise, which can lead to greater profitability of their businesses.
