BASF and Russia’s Polyplastic in Automotive Cooperation

Russian compounder and pipe producer Polyplastic has signed a deal with BASF covering supply and use of additives as well as joint development of products for the automotive industry, reports the U.S. trade publication Plastics News.

The agreement is said to foresee the German group helping Polyplastic to improve product quality and broaden its product range in particular for the automotive sector.

The Russian group with production in Belarus, Ukraine, the UK and Kazakhstan in addition to its home market is also reported to have signed a memorandum of understanding with the Kazakhstan government to manufacture products such as polyethylene pressure pipes.
