Arkema Denies Allegations Made by Klesch

Arkema has just seen, much to its surprise, the press release published today by the Klesch group which calls into question the terms of the divestment by Arkema of the Vinyl Products segment - which has now become Kem One - on July 2nd 2012.

Arkema is deeply shocked by these serious and false allegations, and wishes to refute them most categorically.

Arkema confirms that the Klesch group had access, in complete transparency and throughout the negotiations,

to all the necessary information - as customary for this type of transactions - to enable it to assess the financial situation and the prospects of this activity, and performed the in-depth due diligence that it wanted.

Arkema is all the more surprised given that throughout the eight months since the divestment, the Klesch group has raised no issue with Arkema.

Arkema vigorously rejects these totally unfounded accusations, and is fully confident in its ability to demonstrate this.

In the face of such an attack, Arkema is launching all necessary initiatives to defend its rights and prove its good faith before the relevant authorities.
