Archroma Acquires 49% of M. Dohmen

Swiss specialty chemicals producer Archroma, a market leader in textile, paper and emulsions, has acquired 49% of compatriot M. Dohmen, a specialist in the production and marketing of textile dyes and chemicals for the automotive, carpet and apparel sectors.

Both companies will continue to operate independently. Customers, suppliers and partners will continue to keep the same contact points and representatives.

The two chemical producers said the deal will allow the expansion of the portfolio and the opportunity to develop new geographic markets.

Until 2013, M. Dohmen was part of Swiss specialty chemicals producer Clariant, before being sold to private equity group SK Capital.
