AkzoNobel Completes Acquisition of Sherwin-Williams’ Chinese Decorative Paints Business

AkzoNobel has completed the acquisition of Sherwin-Williams’ Chinese decorative paints business, including the widely known Chinese Huarun brand.

The acquisition, AkzoNobel said, will further strengthen the company's position in China, enable further market segmentation and strengthen the company's position outside the premium segment.

The acquired business has an annual revenue of approximately €100 million and employs around 300 people.

The intended acquisition from Sherwin-Williams was first announced in April 2023.
