French specialty chemicals producer SNF has agreed to acquire PfP Industries and Ace Fluid Solutions, two oil and gas fluids firms based in Texas, USA. The strategic acquisitions, SNP said, expands its offerings for the company’s upstream oil and gas customers. Financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
US oil and gas giant ConocoPhillips has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Marathon Oil for $22.5 billion, including net debt of $5.4 billion. The transaction, which is subject to the approval of Marathon Oil stockholders, regulatory clearance and other customary closing conditions, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2024.
In a move to focus on its core businesses, Finnish chemicals company Kemira has signed an agreement to divest its oil and gas-related portfolio for €260 million to Sterling Specialty Chemicals, a US subsidiary of Artek Industries, a global industrial chemicals group based in India.
