County officials in Taiwan ordered Formosa Petrochemicals to close a refinery unit on Monday after a fire on Sunday. Formosa Petrochemicals must pass air quality and other safety inspections before it can reopen the unit in its Mailiao refinery complex, officials with Yunlin county said.
