SOCMA Leadership Change: Abril Departs, Stoeva Interim

After nearly nine years of dedicated leadership, SOCMA President & CEO Jennifer Abril has stepped down. Vera Stoeva will serve as interim President & CEO, ensuring a smooth transition and steady leadership across SOCMA's programs and priorities.

The Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates (SOCMA) announced that its current President & CEO, Jennifer Abril, will be leaving the organization after nearly nine years to assume the role of President & CEO of the American Cleaning Institute.

The SOCMA Board has engaged a national search firm to begin the process of selecting the organization’s next President & CEO. Updates on the search process and timeline will be provided as they become available.

During the interim period, Vera Stoeva, MBA, CAE, who has served as SOCMA’s Chief Operating Officer for the past six years, will serve as Interim President & CEO. According to SOCMA, Stoeva has worked closely with the current leadership on key operational and strategic initiatives.

SOCMA stated that its programs and priorities will continue without disruption during the transition.
