Sittenthaler to Become President & CEO Of Siltronic


Dr. Wilhelm Sittenthaler, an Executive Board member of Wacker Chemie, is to take over again as President & CEO of Siltronic. Sittenthaler will retain his responsibilities on Wacker Chemie's Executive Board. Siltronic's and Wacker Chemie's Supervisory Boards still have to give their approval. Sittenthaler is to succeed Dr. Klaus Fuchs, who asked to be relieved of his duties for personal reasons and will be leaving the company.
Sittenthaler has gained vast experience in the semiconductor sector. From 2003 to 2008, he was in charge of Siltronic, successfully leading it through that period's global semiconductor market crisis. Dr. Rudolf Staudigl is to take over again as Siltronic's Supervisory Board Chairman additionally to his responsibilities as President & CEO of Wacker Chemie.
