The Swiss contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) for the pharmaceutical industry, headquartered in Zofingen, has expanded reactor capacity by 100 m³ at its Minden facility, thereby strengthening its position as a CDMO for small-molecule drug substances. With the new facility, the company is further expanding its ability to support customers with high-quality and scalable manufacturing solutions for APIs.

Marcel Imwinkelried, CEO of Siegfried, explained: "The inauguration of our new facility in Minden is an important milestone in the further expansion of our global production network. It creates additional capacity for the industrial manufacture of complex active pharmaceutical ingredients and strengthens our ability to supply customers reliably, flexibly, and with high quality.”

The new production facility combines modern process technologies, automation, and secure production capacities for highly active substances. Gravity-assisted process control, RFID-based formulation management, and optimized solvent use contribute to efficient, safe, and reliable production. With the new facility, Siegfried is expanding its offering for the industrial manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients and reaffirming its strategic focus on a strong production network, operational excellence, and long-term, trusting partnerships with pharmaceutical customers.

The Siegfried Group is a global life sciences company with 16 sites in Switzerland, Germany, Spain, France, Malta, the U.S., Australia, and China. The company generated revenue of approximately CHF 1.3 billion in fiscal year 2025 and employs over 3,800 people.
