Sasol Expands UHPA Capacity at German Site

Sasol's Olefins & Surfactants Division (headquarters in Hamburg, Germany) announced today it will expand in a first step its capacity to produce ultra-high purity aluminas (UHPA) by at least 3000 metric tons per year.

Construction will begin immediately at Brunsbuettel, the company's Germany manufacturing site on a process to supply Sasol North America's Ceralox alumina production facility in Tucson, Arizona with ultrahigh purity alumina precursor.

Project completion is estimated for the third quarter of 2013.
