Pilar Castellanos Pineda Appointed as Managing Director of IMCD Colombia

Speciality chemicals and ingredients distributor IMCD has appointed Pilar Castellanos Pineda as Managing Director of IMCD Colombia effective May 25, 2021.

She takes on the leadership position in Colombia and will be responsible for both IMCD Colombia and Siliconas y Químicos, an IMCD company.

A chemical engineer with 30 years of experience as a business owner in the chemical distribution industry, Castellanos Pineda joins IMCD via the recent acquisition of Siliconas y Químicos, which she co-founded in 2000. She is based in Bogotá, Colombia.

Upon Castellanos Pineda’s appointment, her predecessor, Oscar Clavijo, will begin his transition into retirement.

IMCD Colombia and Siliconas y Químicos serve formulators and manufacturing companies in Colombia with expertise in pharmaceuticals, food, nutrition, personal care, coatings, silicones, and other specialty industrial markets.
