Moderna Appoints Chief Commercial Officer

As it rolls out an increasing number of doses of its mRNA-based Covid-19 vaccine, US biotech Moderna has appointed a pharma industry veteran to spearhead the effort. Corinne Le Goff will take up the position on Jan. 19.

Le Goff’s last role was senior vice president of Amgen and president of its US business. The pharmacist by training is credited with overseeing Amgen’s Otezla integration after the company acquired the drug from Celgene in 2019, along with boosting sales of cholesterol med Repatha and migraine launch Aimovig.

“Corinne is joining us at an important time as we launch our Covid-19 vaccine, prepare to start the Phase 3 study of our CMV vaccine and pivot to a commercial-stage company,” Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel said in a statement.
