LG Chem Might Delay Polysilicon Production Plant

Korea's LG Chem said it is considering delaying a new investment plan to build a polysilicon production plant due to changes in the solar industry.

The country's largest chemical company announced in June that it would spend 491 billion won ($435 million) to construct the 5,000-ton-per-year polysilicon plant. Polysilicon is a key material used to make solar panels.
