IMCD Boosts Singapore, Vietnam Presence with Brylchem Buy

IMCD has agreed to buy Brylchem Group, comprising Brylchem in Singapore and Chemipac and CMS Marketing Trading in Vietnam. Brylchem has roughly 50 employees and generated revenue of about €58 million last year. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2023.

IMCD has entered into an agreement to buy Brylchem Group for an undisclosed sum. The group comprises Brylchem in Singapore and Chemipac and CMS Marketing Trading in Vietnam. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2023.

"Brylchem Group provides IMCD with an excellent gain in foothold, given their strong presence in the highly dynamic and vibrant Singaporean and Vietnamese markets," said Daan Roebbers, regional director of expansion, strategy and digitalization at IMCD APAC. "This is a momentous milestone with it being the first acquisition for Vietnam and a vital opportunity for our business expansion into new markets for both countries."

Brylchem offers a wide variety of products for the coatings, construction, advanced materials, agrochemical, home care and industrial cleaning, feed and veterinary, and lubricants industries in Singapore and Vietnam. The company has roughly 50 employees and generated revenue of about €58 million last year.

Last month, IMCD expanded in Malaysia with an agreement to buy Euro Chemo-Pharma and its wholly owned subsidiary Biofresh Green. Euro Chemo-Pharma distributes mainly to the food, pharmaceutical and personal care markets in Malaysia.
