Hasa Boosts Pool Chemicals with Orenda Buy

Hasa, a US producer and distributor of water treatment products, has acquired Orenda Technologies, a compatriot manufacturer of eco-friendly specialty pool chemicals. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"We are thrilled to announce Hasa's expansion into these professional-grade specialty products, which the industry increasingly recognizes as critical to maintain safe, clean and clear water in swimming pools and spas,” said Hasa CEO Chris Brink. “With Hasa's capabilities and resources plus Orenda's top-notch team and market-facing partners, we will together provide significant value to pool professionals, residential and commercial pool customers and our channel partners."

The acquisition is Hasa’s first since being bought from GHK Capital by Wind Point Partners in January 2023. Wind Point principal Peter Leemputte said Orenda is “an excellent addition” to Hasa”. The US-based private equity group added that it is focused on accelerating Hasa’s already strong organic growth, as well as pursuing strategic M&A to expand the company’s geographic footprint and product portfolio.

Hasa operates seven production facilities serving California, Arizona, Washington, Texas, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Idaho and Oklahoma.
